The person you speak to is the person who builds it.
I'm James Marlow. For over 15 years I've worked in enterprise software - helping businesses choose, use and get real value from the systems they run on. I've seen what good software does for a business, and just as often, what badly-fitted software costs them.
Agent Marlow came out of a simple observation: smaller businesses get left behind. The tools built for big companies are too expensive and too complicated, so a farm shop, a pub, a plumbing merchant or a window installer ends up running on spreadsheets, paperwork and manual admin that quietly eats their week. I build the practical tools and websites those businesses actually need - without the agency price tag or the jargon.
I work on my own, deliberately. That means the person you have the first conversation with is the person who builds the thing and supports it afterwards - no account managers, no hand-offs, no being passed down a chain. And because I'm not trying to sell you the biggest possible project, I'll tell you honestly when something isn't worth automating, or when a simpler fix will do.
Honest advice first - if it's not worth building, I'll say so. Plain English, no jargon. Real, working tools - built around how your business actually runs. One person, start to finish - you always know who you're dealing with.
Away from the screen, I'm a husband and dad, and I'm kept honest by two spaniels, Bailey and Milo, who are as mad as a box of frogs.
The best proof is the work itself - real tools for real businesses.
